About Me

Sarah Teague is a lifelong journalist who trained in multiple facets of the media industry. This website serves as Sarah’s portfolio and showcases the work she’s done independently and for several news outlets. She currently serves as a journalism educator for a 6A high school in Texas, teaching the next generation of storytellers.

Sarah served as a breaking news intern for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in the summer of 2020 reporting on COVID-19, crime, and protests stemming from the death of George Floyd that year.

Sarah served as the editor-in-chief of Missouri State University’s student newspaper, The Standard, for the 2019-2020 school year. During this time, she orchestrated the paper’s move to a completely digital, online-only format for the first time in its 100-year history during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before her stint as editor-in-chief, Sarah spent a year in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, photographing culture through her “Expressions of Worship” photo series. She’s worked in local storytelling, internal communication, public relations and radio.

In every role, Sarah sought opportunities to humanize essential news community members need to be well-informed and self-governing.

Sarah has a Master of Education in Teaching from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Missouri State University.
